We spent four days in the company of Mike and Sharon and enjoyed every minute. They took all of us indoor rock climbing, absailing and taught us archery. The house itself was warm and inviting, even though it was freezing outself. The whole place was lovely and clean with great ammenities I would highly recommend this holiday to evenyone, those... Just stayed for 2 nights at this campsite. Owners Mick and Sharon were very friendly and helpful. Even helped us out when the tent malfunctioned. We went on their canoeing trip on the Wye which was great. Kids did archery and zip wire which they loved. Clean toliets and showers. The showers were nice and hot. All in all a... More

We stayed here during the festival week based on the review here. The site and the welcoming manner of Mick, Sharon and their team more than lived upto the expectations. What a fantastic site! Despite some miserable weather this was a clean, friendly set up and we will most definately be back again.

What a find! Mick & Sharon have set up a fantastic activity and camping centre here, 15 minutes flat walk from Hay, perfectly positioned to explore the area. We stayed in one of the Bell tents which looked brand new and came well supplied for all our needs. It was so nice to be able to have a fire pit... More

...despite some pretty rough weather. We stayed in a tipi again, a new, bigger one. It stood up very well to some pretty strong winds. The site is excellent, quiet, and very friendly. We were there once again during the Hay Literary Festival, and for the duration of the festival the site owners Mick and Sharon had significantly upgraded the... More

We stayed for one night in our campervan, having seen the sign for a campsite from the main road. Really glad we did. A low-key and relaxed place to camp with lovely clean loos and showers. No hassles or daft rules and regs and in a lovely, quiet spot too. We'll definately stop here next time we're in the area.... More

Just spent a great Aug Bank Holiday (2011) touring central Wales on our motorbikes. We made a last minute booking with Mike and Sharon at Outdoors@Hay, on arrival Mike greeted us like we were old friends and made us very welcome. The Café being run by his daughter was a godsend after a long trip and you just can’t beat... More

This place is everything you would want for a quiet camping trip. I was alone when i visited with my motorbike and solo ridge tent, there were , I think, four other family groups there with plenty of space between the tents - dont you hate it when someone pitches right next to you !! showers were good and hot,... Just back from an excellent stay at outdoors@hay. We hired a bell tent which I feel was very reasonably priced because they provided everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay.. The girls also enjoyed all the activities that they did with Mike; he doesn’t just teach he made it fun and exciting for them. They can’t stop talking about... More
