This place is in the best location - the west end - close enough to walk from the station but also really close to the sea front on a lovely road. It's large, maybe ten rooms, a bar and restaurant with great food - the breakfast is great and dinner was lovely - the owner told us the chef was... More

Went there on recommendation from friends, throughly enjoyed the food. The service was good and the staff very friendly. Would surely recommend it. Very resonably priced. All in all an enjoyable experience.

I stayed at the hotel with my family from 20 to 21 April 2013. The first thing I was looking for was off-street parking, which none of the cheaper hotels in Folkestone seems able to offer. This was no problem at Wards. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped (modern TV sets, bathroom fittings, etc.). They were also extremely... More

I stayed here over the Easter weekend and it was lovely to visit this seaside town for the first time. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The food was fantastic, and a good selection to choose from. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.... More

wards hotel is a revelation, the staff are always friendly and attentive ,my room was spacious clean and very comfortable. charges are more than reasonable, but, the 'jewel in wards crown' must be the excellent food... the new pan asian menu is both innovative and delicious as is the 3 course sunday carvery. This quaint seaside hotel is an absolute hidden treasure!

Went down to Folkestone for a friends birthday. Stumbled across this little retro chic gem. Just a short walk to the seafront or the quaint old town. Great value for money. Staff unbelievable and so friendly and accomodating. Bedroom was large and very comfortable (complete with spa bath!). Breakfast included and ask for more if you still hungry. Nothing was... More

My partner and I visited the Ward twice recently and enjoyed both experiences. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was of exceptional quality in both taste and presentation. The charges were also very reasonable. The new menu is very tempting, we particularly plan to try their Sunday carvery one of these days.

This hotel has friendly staff and a very nice social environment in the bar area. The rooms are clean, large and if anything is wrong or missing just dial reception and they are very helpful. Its nice to chill in the bar area and the locals who drink in there are also very friendly. Breakfast in the morning is decent... More

This is a hotel worthwhile discovering. Coming from Brussels, Ashford International is the 1st stop after crossing the English Channel. Folkstone is around 20' by train & the hotel is walking distance from there. One is surprised by the polite and friendly accueil accorded to you upon arrival. The rooms are very clean and the food is worth the detour. I... More
