We spent a night at Bakewell House in April 2012 and had a lovely stay. Alison is very welcoming and friendly, the food is delicious and the homebaked cake on arrival is a extra touch that made us feel like one of the family. We found there was plenty of room for our 3 year old and 20 month old... More

The host, Alison, is extraordinary in that she is always very much caring about us (We don't feel we are guests, but one of the members of Alison family), which is very good. The moment I turnped up from the doorsteps, she treadted me as one of her family than as one of a customer or a traveler, which we... More

Alison was extremely welcoming, attentive and helpful during my stay at her lovely home. I stayed three nights whilst attending a training course in the area. On my first evening there, after a delicious slice of her homemade fruit cake and a cuppa, she kindly drove with me to my training venue so that my morning journey would be less... More

We arrived very late after a full day of travel and left very early four days later. Every moment of your stay with Ailson at Bakewell House was outstanding. We, mom, dad, two 20-something daughters had a marvelous stay. It felt like home. Breakfasts and cakes and tea were delicious and warming to our soul. I choose this B&B because... More

I had an amazing stay at Bakewell House while I was on a training course for work purposes. Alison was welcoming from the moment I got there to the moment I left. I stayed for two nights. On the first evening I was on a put you up in the living room, which was brilliant! Was a comfortable bed, Virgin... More

Amazing stay at the Bakewell. From the moment we arrived, host Alison made us welcome. (Its hard not to smile when she is around!) It was great to share our time here with someone who truly enjoys their job. We stayed in the double room and was an amazing night sleep with all the neccesities at our fingertips. Do yourself... I arrived at very short notice after missing a flight and the owner, Alison, was very accommodating and made me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this guest house; great service, great accommodation and very close to the airport Chris c

I stayed at Bakewell House while visiting Luton with my teenage daughter for the University Open Day. We were both apprehensive about the weekend as it involved a long journey and we knew nothing of the area apart from the recent bad press it has received in TV documentaries. It made a real difference to us to arrive to such... More

Visited Bakewell House for 1 night either side of my trip to Turkey. Greeted by a friendly host who offered us home made cake and tea. Luton isn't somewhere I would find on my itinerary, we had to go abroad and Luton was the only cheap flights I could find to Istanbul and so we booked here the evening before... More
