We took 2 rooms for 2 nights. The Pros: Great location, clean and warm. The rooms are furnished in a basic style with a rail rather than a wardrobe, there is no bedside unit but a small recess instead next to your pillow. The lighting is ok but I couldn't read with fitted bed light as it was too dim.... More

I booked a room for my elderly mother for 3 nights. The booking was made 3 months ago and paid in full at the time of booking. On arrival she was told her room had been sold to someone else. Apparently this happens just about every night at this hotel. She was offered a room in the motor way services... More

Good location for walking into Newbury centre + cheap, but think BASIC and soulless. Also no car park (although there is a public car park close by). Everything clean but feels like you are sleeping in a pre-fab container - probably because you are!!! I was almost longing for some soft furnishings to take the edge off.

I expected little from a Travelodge and was not disappointed. I did, however, sleep well as the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Did not indulge in the breakfast but, if you can hang on until 10AM, I would highly recommend Allsorts bar and cafe across the road and towards the town centre slightly.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. The hotel is clean and in a very good location. Car parking, there is no parking by the hotel. The pay car park is near by the staff did say that I could park outside for 20 mins to unload. The rooms are basic but the shower was powerfull and hot. The... More

A recently built Travelodge in a great location, minutes away from bars, restaurants & good quality shopping. Theres a supermarket 70metres away for anything you need. There are two vacant units on the ground floor which are advertised as potential bar/cafe/shops. The forecourt car parking spaces are for drop off/pick up only. The check in was efficient & welcoming. Room... More

During February and March they had serious boiler problems and they closed the hotel for a few days to fix. Unfortunately the problems persist and there is NO HOT WATER for the showers. Not a great start to the day, i'm afraid. Customer services sent me a voucher to redeem against the next visit, but this is a 'tough call'... More

We stayed in room 206. The room was very nice clean tidy and modern. We had to request extra pillows and tea, coffee & sugar which were delivered vey promptly. The bathroom was really small and they only provide 1 towel! The carpark is a 2 min walk that I had to return to at 8am to put another ticket on.... More

Stayed in a family room for 1 night for £22, thus represented outstanding value!! Rooms are clean and modern and comfy king size bed. Good location too only a few mins walk to shops, there is a decent looking bar/cafe 2 mins away (looked popular but didn't use it). Parking from 6pm until 8 am was £1 but as we... More
