We have eaten here more than a dozen times for lunch, early supper and dinner, entertaining family and friends. We have recommended to shooting friends, godparents and overseas guests. Never disappointed with food, service or atmosphere which always matched or exceeded expectations. The staff are superb.

If you did not know any different, this unassuming country pub and restaurant, from the outside looks as though the best you will get is a pint of best and a cheese ploughmans! How wrong. My partner took me here for my birthday and I have to say it was amazing. The food is gorgeous and the service was very attentive. We will definitely be back.

I've eaten here several times, including as recently as 22nd October, and have always had a good meal, well prepared and skilfully served by staff who appear to take an interest in what they are doing. The ambience is pleasant, if a little dark in places on winter evenings,and I intend to return again.
