I was booked in and shown to my room in a dingy annex. The room smelt of chemical air fresheners. The bedding may not have been clean. The mattress was worn out. Decor cheap gaudy and totally tasteless. Hospitality poor. Manageress (fascinator wearing) was without charm. Waitresses innappropriately dressed in short tight skirts teamed with sparkling pixie boots. Dinner (hour...

Ate here as we were staying at the Raven Hall hotel and just wanted some home cooked pub grub.
Have driven past alot but never been in, wish I had been in a long time ago.
Great food, waitress was excellent and friendly, decor was loverly and cosy, and they had lots of sauce choice! I especially like that in...

Visited this pub while on holiday in the region. Unlike previous comments we found the food and service to be excellent. Dined in other places too but preferred the quality home cooked meals that we had here. We are holidaying in scarborough next year and will definately be dining here again. Many thanks to all concerned and see you next...

Place looks great, food was sub-par. Chips and salad were nice enough, meat was tough and (in one case) overdone. Took 50 minutes to cook. However, if you enjoy the cosy home-cooked feel of it, then it's not too bad. Worth a pop-in visit, but not a planned meal.
I usually enjoy going out for a light lunch around the area where I live; I try different places each time. The Falcon was very disappointing: the ONLY 'lunch' type food on offer (I did not want a great big dinner, of which many were offered on the menu) were sandwiches. Approx £5.00 a piece, there was a standard variety...

I was disappointed with my meal at the Falcon Inn.. £18 for the steak and £2.50 ... The steak was nice but lacked flavour. The mushrooms were deep fried yuk. the sauce was thin and although it was supposed to contain brandy I couldn't taste it.. When I inquired I was told it had reduced in the sauce and that...

Decided one morning on spur of moment to have a short trip away, found the Falcon and rang for availability- no trouble at all, quite happy to accommodate us. Room was lovely, very warm and comfortable, bearing in mind it was 2 degress outside with frost on the ground. Pub lovely, excellent food, throughly enjoyed all 3 courses- we decided...

We recently stayed at the Falcon Inn for my Dad's 65th Birthday.
Louise and the team got in on the surprise with us, ensuring that each of the 11 guests were treated with white gloves.
Louise was a great host, always making sure that we had everything we needed and that my Dad didn't bump into anyone or see anything...

We stayed at the Falcon whilst attending a wedding recently; we could have stayed at the Ravenhall Hotel (for twice the price), but opted for the Falcon. The choice couldn't have been better, the Pub is very warm, welcoming, and the staff friendly and courteous. The apartment room was perfect, very comfortable, and suited us down to the ground. The...
