We have just had a great Easter weekend in Scarborough. The guest house was spotlessly clean and extremely friendly. Breakfast was hearty and served with a smile. We visited a local pub "the Albion" and enjoyed their friendly atmosphere. The music groups that they had on were true talents. We would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend... More

My partner and I have just stayed here for a second time, and it was just as good this time as it was the previous time. Nice room, good price and great breakfast. Owners very friendly and helpful. Free parking, but can be a bit tricky to find a space, though this is to be expected in Scarborough I guess!!... More

i have recently stayed at Derwent House and i would strongly recommend it to anyone. the beds were really comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was lovely.

I have just returned from my 2nd visit to the fab derwent house and it gets even better keith and carol are great, carol is so funny with her impression of blanch[corry] keith always reminds me of norris.This hotel is a must for anyone wanting to stay in scarborough and have a relaxing time.Thank you again Blanch and Norris sorry... Went to Scarborough to see the big yin. We had a cracking weekend. Guest house was perfect. Weather was a bonus!

I stayed at the Derwent House Hotel January 2012, and had a fantastic new years break. The owners were lovely and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I am looking forward to returning next month and would recommend this to anyone.

As the owner of Derwent House i would like to say that I have never been spoken to by a guest in such a disgusting and derogatary manner. Stayed for 3 nights over new year. What a great little guest house. The views are amazing. Owners couldn't have been more helpfull. Breakfast was filling and really tasty. We have no complaints and would recommend to anyone. There was a couple ( who thankfully left ) that tried to spoil it for others but the owners were really good... More
