Stayed for 10 days enjoyed the food, Good portions just like home cooked, good value for your money, would stay here again.10 minute walk to town centre. Rooms were warm and cosy after the sudden cold snap we experienced.

Just had Sunday lunch at Shakespeare Hotel - £5.50 for pork or chicken roast including a pint (eg Speckled Hen). Very good value for money - 2 roasts,3 pints and glass of wine £17.70. Lovely lady serving in the bar.

Went here because I was visiting Bedford on business. For those that are looking for value for money, cleanliness, stuff that works and food that is edible, go somewhere else. Seriously - why didn't I check some of these other reviews first........ Can't comment further as I'm too traumatised.

Lovely home cooked food very reasonable and plenty of it. The lady that works there is really nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Could do with a bit more variety on the menu but the portions are very healthy and tasty

I've stayed in this hotel before and returned again. The service if very friendly and polite, clean and comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Would recommend this hotel. There is car parking facility in the front also.
