Stayed there on the 17/04/2012 after a colleague of mine booked it on-line, he had never been there before. Place is very nice, kept the style of the building. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had driven from Liverpool and wanted to get some food in Carlisle when the receptionist informed us they made great steak there. We were... More

I was looking for something a bit special for our wedding anniversary (bad planning - away on business on our anniversary!) - Dalston Hall definitely filled the bill. Our room in the Pele tower, approached by it's own spiral staircase, was clean and comfortable with some period features. Three stairs through double doors takes you up to the bathroom with... More

What a fantastic hotel, I've got absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel. It was perfect in every way. Room was gorgeous (room 9) big and spotlessly clean. Food and wine fantastic ....staff very friendly and helpful. 1 night wasn't enough ....can't wait to return ....10/10 and highly recommended by my husband and I. More

We have just spent the weekend at Dalston Hall and whilst I appreciate that some people have bad experiences for whatever reason, any worries we may have had from reading the negative reviews on this site were totally laid to rest! Speaking from personal experience, I genuinely can't find anything negative to say! Staff - very professional, smart and friendly;... More

Stayed at hotel Sunday evening and I can't fault this hotel in anyway, lovely large rooms with all the mod cons, fantastic staff especially the owner who could not be more accommodating . We had a very, very fussy barrister from london with us and he loved the place!! TAKE NO NOTICE of bad reviews of this hotel try it... More

Difficult to know where to start. We stayed there prior to doing a half marathon race in Carlisle. My wife was called before we got there by the manageress who asked if we wanted a meal that night and if so what time. She replied we did and at about 19:30. When we got there it looked deserted. The entrance... More

I have stayed at Dalston Hall for both pleasure and business over the past few months and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. Whether you want a modern corporate or more romantic “charming” room, the choice is here and having stayed in both, a good night’s sleep always follows. The charm and ambience of the bedrooms, lounge and great hall... More

I do never write reviews for hotels, but after my experience i though it deserved my time so that others can share the experience. My finance and I stayed here for one night for a break and the room was fabulous, large 4 poster bed with a feature bathroom. The staff was very welcoming and helped in any way they... More

We booked this hotel just a few days before arrival, based largely on the Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel was not very busy as it was during the week. A beautiful place, very friendly and helpful management and staff. We had booked a premium room which certainly appeared to meet our expectations but as it turned out, we were upgraded... More
