Lovely location, stunning day but the bar is overpriced and sadly with this part of Poole it seems to cost more for someone to serve a drink.

I have just returned from a short stay at The Haven with my husband, mum and mother in law. Totally impressed with every member of staff we met. From the friendly receptionist to the very professional restaurant staff, I could not fault them. Our room was just a standard double but was well equipped and very clean although the bathroom...

Stayed at The Haven Hotel, Sandbanks late April 2012 for a w/e Masonic gathering.
The hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the Sandbanks penisula next to the Shell Bay ferry offfering stunning views out to sea. The reception staff were very efficient and our rooms were of a high standard having been recently refurbished. I would recommend a...

The rating is only average as certain parts of the hotel needs refurb, i.e. Carpets. However the views, food and service was very good. One word of warning if you choose a sea facing room the chain ferry is noisy and runs from about 7am to 10:30pm, although I enjoyed the whole ferry business. Great experience and will come again....

My husband and I decided on a last minute trip to Poole in Dorset, an area we have visited before and love. We were pleased to be able to book The Haven, as we seen it on previous visits, and its location next to the harbour and right on the beach was perfect.
Checking in was easy and as we...

The Haven is situated on the Sandbanks peninsula in Poole harbour and has the good fortune to be in a stunning location. A light lunch was just as described and we'll definitely be back on our next visit.

When you turn up at the Haven, the first thing you notice is the outside of the building which is in desperate need of a re-paint. As you walk through the revolving door its like your entering a scene from Downton Abbey!
The main part of the hotel needs a major refurbushment. There are horrible old muti-coloured carpets and woodwork...

The food and wine here is amazing quality and value. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable and the general atmosphere is very nice. This is our hotel of choice for clients and all have been very happy when we book them in here, as am I myself when I occasionally join them.

Just arrived home after spending a weekend at this hotel. The room (204) was small but had every thing that we needed with a view over the beach. Everyone from reception, bar staff and waiting staff (esp Charlie) were very obliging. The food was excellent. Definately be revisiting.

We booked an impulse weekend away to The Haven at Sandbanks, as usual standard rooms offered the best rate so that is what we booked - big mistake - the room was like something out of a time warp, dark, drab and horribly old fashioned and nasty, the double bed was the smallest I have ever seen, the bathroom was...
