Room on the top floor with a sea view; fantastic buffet breakfast with all sorts of home-made jam, bread and muesli; dog-friendly (but not overwhelmingly doggy); friendly welcome. Warm room. Can't be faulted! I've rated 5 although it would be even more lovely to have fluffy towels and duvet.

Just had a brilliant stay at the Royal Eastbourne with my West Highland Terrier Misty. Great hotel right on the seafront. Clean rooms and lovely homemade buffet breakfast and really nice owner + his dog Alfie. I work in the travel industry and would highly recommend this hotel.

Cannot fault this place in any way. Rooms were spotless, breakfast was amazing and you couldn't ask for a better location. What tops it all though, is the owner - friendly, helpful and a real pleasure to have met. A memorable stay and highly recommended
