I stayed at the Rica Scandinavie for 3 nights and it was just as I hoped it would be.... full of beautiful Art Noveau detailing in the public areas with a gorgeous old fashioned lift..... so much character. We enjoyed our stay at the Rica immensely. It is well situated near the heart of the city and it was very comfortable. It is an old hotel, so don't expect a modern finish on the inside although the bathrooms were very modern. Good breakfasts each morning and a great coffee machine in the lobby!

Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. That's about it. No flat-screen tv (in 2012 that's a demand). The windows are badly isolated resulting in very much noise from the outside (our rooom was located close to a pub/disco). Didn't get much sleep as a result. Room was also uncomfortably warm all the time.
