What is good? - Nice location - Nice view over Odderøya from the room - Comfortable bed - Good service What is bad? - Ugly 90's room - Poor breakfast - Expensive The price they charge here is an absolute robbery! The room felt like a low cost motel at best.

Travelled with a group for business. While I got a big room which was also seemingly renovated recently, my colleagues (with one exception) were not that lucky. Small, tired 70s style rooms. However, for my own room, I was as stated quite happy. Lounge area, nice bathroom, great view. Breakfast was ok, but for Norwegian standards (which are quite high... More

Compared with other European countries, hotels in Norway are generally expensive and offer quite low standard of service. Radisson Blu Caledonien Hotel, Kristiansand is no exception. It was once the best hotel in the town but now the rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. The bed was very comfortable and the ventilation good. The reception staff is polite... More

This hotel gives you an unique chance to travel back in time to have a closer look at hotel standards from the 70, 80 & 90. Often mixed together, which makes a strange blend. To give a short summary: Staff: seems ok, nothing negative noted. As expected, but not more. Breakfast: ok, but some of the stuff at the buffet... More

Still wearing it's 4 star hat like a crown which was put on many many years ago, this old hotel is now just a sad reminder of old times, when brown tiles were in style, the hair blower was actually working, the war was won and the VW Beetle was a huge success. This joint is in desperate need for... More

This is a nice hotel located on the harbor. It very much follows a typical Radisson standard which to me needs an upgrade on the bedroom decoration. Staff were very friendly and rooms offered lovely view over looking the sea. Very expensive, but slightly over average prices for Norwegian standards

Polite staff, hotel is worn down and the rooms are not special at all. Breakfast is included, and is also average. Don't know if I'll ever go back here, as it was just ok. I've stayed at a budget hotel that gave me just as much for my money as this place did.

I checked the room price of this hotel before I left home 5 hours earlier, but did not book, as I was not quite sure that would reach Kristiansand in time due to bad weather, or would find a parking option for a small lorry with a trailer. As it turned out, everything went fine, but when I arrived at... More

I had an amazing view (on the left). The room was fine, not too small at all. I agree with other reviewers that the hotel in general could probably do with a renovation. Breakfast was good. Service was good. There is a small lot in front where you can pay to park, just hope its not too busy and you... More

Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. Rooms are old fashon and furnitures old. Bathroom is small. There was a lot of noise in the hotel. Location is good and in the centre of Kristiansand. Wifi is free which is the only positive thing I can say.
