Apart from the fact its about the only game in town, its a nicely situated hotel with great views along the fjord. Staff were very good. Seems to be a lot of oil/rig/ship workers just dossing around as I'm sure everything is booked up quickly.

This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in our tour of Northern Norway. The room was spacious and well appointed with a nice view. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had a good value bar meal. Breakfast was excellent. Parking spaces were limited but we found one.

What can i say, the only thing positive in this hotel is breakfast. Very good, and big choice of food. Everything else katastrophe. They dont know what means to clean a room, the first night we stayed here we couldnt sleep here because they made overbooking (!!!!) and we had to go to another hotel.

I stay in the Rica Hammerfest several nights/year, and I'm very satisfied. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, and most rooms are relatively large - if you are travelling alone. The breakfast buffet is good. The food in the restaurant is good, but not exactly cheap.
