Good place for Jotunheimen national park. Can just walk out of the front door for good hiking up to Fannaraken; or the beautiful drive over Sognefjellet. Excellent food - and they adapted it well for my vegetarian wife. Comfortable and spacious room.

We stayed here after travelling down from the Geiranger fjord via the Sognefjellet road. It fits in so well with its surrounding - a breath of fresh air. The room is basic in content but high in quality, comfy bed, nice bathroom with big bag, sliding door to the bathroom to give a bigger impression of space. Plenty of cupboard... More

We just spent three weeks traveling through Norway by car and on foot, staying in various types of accommodation (including our tent), and absolutely loved the Turtagro on the Sognefjellet. The room wasn't huge but clean and tastefully decorated, and had glorious views of the Hurrangane and everything you would expect from a mountain hotel. The lobby/fireplace room was very... More

The Turtagrø Hotel is located at the Sognefjellet road northwest of the scenic Jotunheimen national park. Don't be fooled by the address, the hotel is not directly located in Fortun but quite some distance away from it in an area that offers stunning views of Jotunheimen. It is the ideal place to stay when you took the Sognefjellet road down... More
