This is a dorm/hostel. It's great for students or travelers not looking for a luxurious stay. It's comfortable, clean and definitely a nice place to stay. It's location is in a beautiful part of the city, not too far from the train station.

If you're looking for a college dorm, this is the place. If you want anything resembling a hotel and the expectations that come with even a basic room, such as soap in the bathroom, look elsewhere. That being said, the location is great and the building has a lot of charm. The rooms have none.

I spent four nights at this establishment. I had a nice big clean room with a window overlooking the street below – a nice change from the small budget hotel rooms I have stayed at in Europe. The attached bathroom was also a nice size. There was an elevator so I did not have to carry my bags up stairs.... More

I stayed a couple of nights here as I wanted an inexpensive single room in Salzburg. The location is good and the price is good. Yes, it is a 300 year old building and some of the common era reflects that in its charm and architecture. My room, however, resembled a 1980s era dorm room...which is fine. I was looking... More

I wish I could have stayed here longer as this place was wonderful. It's in an historic building adjoining a Baroque/Rococo church and looking out over the beautiful old cemetery where Mozart's father and wife rest in peace. A priest next door told me it had originally been built as a hospital for women, but for decades now it's been... More

The location of this hostel is fantastic-less than 10 minutes across the river from the old town. The room I stayed in (small dorm) was fairly good, and the bathroom was fine as well. Breakfast is less-than-adequate, with only 1 bread roll and a drink. I had to pay 2Euros for an hour on Internet-when I only needed it for... More

Our main concern with this place is that we specifically booked it because they claim to have a kitchen. The kitchen consisted of dirty benches, no cutlery, a microwave, a hotplate, gross sponges, moldy dish brush and no cleaning products what so ever. We did notice some fridges but only when we went down to ask we were given a... More

We had a triple room. It was spartan (dorm room like but with private bath), but clean and the location is very good. You can't beat the value (we paid 68 euro/day including breakfast and parking, which in central Sz. can be some 20 euro/day). The breakfast was OK but simple (a few pieces of bread and butter, jam, and... More

Walking distance (5 minutes) to old city centre gates. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. There is a laundry, ask for key.

In general, a nice, friendly and clean place with basic amenities in the en-suite rooms. It is excellently located inside the historic center of the town, a 5 mins walk over the bridge away from the Mozart House. Do not forget to climb the close-by Kapuziner-Mountain for a great view over the city. A few negative aspects of this accommodation:... More
