Just returned from a week at The Steiner. A rare jewel, superbly run hotel, fine wining and dining, comfortable and well appointed south facing suites with all amenities you need for a perfect hotel stay. Truly excellent. Had a junior suite room which was perfect with a lovely view out the front of the hotel. The road could be a bit noisy late and early if the window was open. Great location, genuinely ski-in, ski-out (well, you do need to cross the road), except for complete beginners, for whom the piste over the road is way too steep. This is a very well run and comfortable hotel in a convenient location. We stayed for one week with another couple and had a great stay. The food both breakfast and dinner remains excellent and varied and the normal problem is what to choose. Stayed here at the beginning of March as part of Inghams ski package. The location is ideal for skiers as you simply cross the road, put your skis on and ski down to a variety of lifts (including the gondola). Skiing back is just as straightforward.
