We were running late and trying to find a hotel. After threading our way through Ettelbrueck I remembered Diekirch as being close by, which it is, and that is where my grandparents spent their honeymoon, in a hotel near the river. “A pleasant, heart-of-town respite”

I sought a hotel in the heart of Diekirch with easy access to things. I came because this is the region in which some of my paternal ancestors once lived. The room my friend and I shared was perfect for 2 people. The staff, most of whom didn't speak a word of English, was very helpful -- especially the desk... More
