This is a lovely hotel, well placed for sightseeing around Malta. It is right next to the bus station and a short walk from the main street in Valetta. There are plenty of others available in Sliema, St Julians etc. Instead, the Phoenicia is at the gates of Valletta, allowing you to stroll the fortress walls, Co-Cathedral and other sites from the 16th century to now. A beautiful old building standing guard at the Valletta City gate. The staff were efficient and very friendly.
