This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The food was terrible. The room (103) is drab, dirty and seemed to have a coach outside every morning with the engine running. The manager did not deal with our complaint and once I had made the complaint the manager avoided me dispite him saying he would deal... More

I picked this hotel from Trip advisor and it was even better than I expected. I visited for i week solo occupancy , the first week of May 2012. I loved the marbelled floors, .fresh flowers, courtyard garden and outdoor pool which I had to myself. Only my bathroom which was inserted into my bedroon in a box, could do... More

Stayed here March 26th until april 16th. Stayed 3 weeks in total. Hotel is old but could do with a face life. We got a really small room on the front which was noisy with people coming and going at night. Staff were friendly enough. although the weather was nice the rooms were cold. Blower in our room did not... More

basic, clean old maltese hotel.friendly staff on reception and excellent bar staff.however from 7am the cleaners made one heck of a noise, singing, whistling and calling to each other.cleaners trolley also extremely noisy due to corridor having un carpeted tiled floor.we rod mention this noise.twice, and the following day was no quite as noisy, but were still woken up at... The hotel’s got a pleasant and calm atmosphere. The public areas have been kept in its original state, which enhances the hotels` history. The staff is very friendly, help where they can, and like to have a chat with the guests. I see other users complain about noise in the hotel early at morning, or from the street outside. However,... I stayed here for a 10 day Easter break which combined business and holiday, booked here from Germany through British tour operator Chevron, which worked fine and was a good deal. This house is a fine example of classic Malta in the positive sense, full of charm and character. I stayed in a room in the original old building. Plus... More

Have just returned from a week at this hotel and sad to say most of the negatives reviews are justified. This old once majestic hotel needs a serious update. Our first room 200 was dark and basic with a very dated bathroom with cracked tiles and chipped bath. It was also very noisy and the window overlooked the empty bottles... More

Nice hotel, a little run down, but friendly staff who try to help when they can. Barkeeper told me some good stories. Not a luxury hotel like it once was, maybe 100 years ago! For food, I'd avoid the hotel and go to Pepino's at Spinola Bay. For rooms, have a look first because some face the street in a... More

We loved every minute of our time at the Imperial Hotel, right from our friendly initial greeting and welcome by Chantel at reception, through to our fond farewells with individual staff members. The Hotel is ideally situated, being in easy walking distance in almost every direction, affording various access routes either to rocky exposed sea front, sheltered cove, dramatic harbour... More

Stayed for 8 days in October and would not stay again. Yes the downstairs entrance is lovely and the garden area calm, pretty and sheltered. Airconditioning was noisy but worked well. Bedrooms had nice high cellings and the cleaning staff did an excellent job in a poorly maintained hotel. Floor tiles chipped as was the wood on the wardrobe. No... More
