The hostel was by far the worst we stayed in in Iceland, it was located conveniently and with excellent views but it was dirty, the shower door was broken, only one bathroom per several rooms so always a queue and the sheets we paid for had stains on. Not impressed.

Vik was the only hostel open for miles around in November. The staff were friendly and attentive (and cooked excellent pancakes for breakfast). The hostel was clean and warm despite the exposed and very cold and windy location.

This hostel was packed!!! It was full every night we were there, which of course meant that all six bunk beds in our room was occupied, and since everyone wants the bottom bunk my husband and I were on opposite sides of the room.
