The location is very good, and it is a small modernized hotel. Pretty good service where the breakfast has a very small selection and is not included. The rooms are small and without a separate bathroom, so not much privacy in these rooms.

Stylish and hip yet calming and comfortable at the same time. The hotel is in a great location, and immediately upon entering, you notice the trendy, minimalist style. The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice, showers are spacious, and beds are comfy. This ranks up there with some of the best boutique hotels I've... More

Stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed this hip, stylish and comfortable hotel. It is centrally located and the front desk was very helpful with planning sight seeing, restaurant reservations, and generally just very friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful -- simple, all white with some black accents, contemporary. A few nit picks: 1 bar of soap (requested second for... More

Pros: clean and hip. included breakfast. convenient location within the city with walking distance to everywhere. (less than 5 min walk to Baejarins Beztu Pylsur) Cons: bathroom design was somewhat unusal. the floor was wet after showering. parking is not available so you need to park up the street in an overnight garage if you are renting a car. it's... This is a really nice choice for Reykjavik, at the top end of the price scale but we enjoyed it enough to warrant that and found food and beverages to be surprisingly and comparatively reasonable, even alcohol which is legendarily expensive in Iceland. I guess the 2008 implosion helped there. Unassuming and rather austere from the outside - it is... More

I searched all over to find the perfect boutique hotel in Reykjavik and came across 101 Hotel. It is perfectly set in downtown Reykjavik with every shop, bar, and restaurant within walking distance. Iceland Excursions is a block away should you want to take a tour, which I highly recommend. We were dropped off around 9:30am after flying all night... More

This time my husband took me away for my birthday! I had wanted to visit Reykjavic for a long time, as I had heard it was a really cool place and was really excited to visit the crazy countryside around it, but having booked three non-refundable nights at the Hotel 101, we discovered Vik and Jokulsarlon and considered only staying... We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is uber chic and cool. Great bar scene and trendy night spot. Central location and super friendly, helpful staff. The bar area and resturant are frequented by the beautiful and trendy people of the city and people watching is a must!

This is a nice place. Modern, clean and functional. Very funky open-plan bathroom/toilet may well discomfit those of a prudish disposition. The "moodily dark corridors" are more of a danger to life and limb than a contribution to ambience but it does add a little something. Good big room with a big comfortable bed. It came with all you would... More
