Stayed for 4 nights bases on reviews read on this site. Hotel lives up to its description but there is a construction project currently going on I was not made aware of. Workers start a little after 7am and continue until 8PM. If you are looking for peace and quiet try somewhere else for the time being.

The apartments (which are 600m away from the hotel iteslf) are very close to a bar (Kaffibarinn)which plays very loud music until 4 or 5 am at the weekends and until 12 - 2am during week days. I had a single room over the restaurant which was a bit noisy but was well appointed with a soft twin bed, big flat screen TV. The reception desk staff is VERY helpful.
