On my second visit to Iceland I stayed five nights in Odinsve in June, part job and part vacation. This is high tourist season and I visited twenty hotel pages before I found a room here. It was a deluxe and quite expensive, but a nice corner room on the top floor with windows on two walls and a balcony... More

Stayed for 4 nights bases on reviews read on this site. Hotel lives up to its description but there is a construction project currently going on I was not made aware of. Workers start a little after 7am and continue until 8PM. If you are looking for peace and quiet try somewhere else for the time being.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel very comfortable. Our room was small and a bit tired looking but well equipped with a really comfortable bed, excellent shower and a few English channels on the TV.. It was also extremely warm. Outside it was only 1 degree and snowing but we had the heat turned off all... More

Nice hotel with a great location in the center of Reykjavik. The bathroom could absolutely need a shineup. We had booked one room at the hotel and 2 apartments. We were three families and two of them had small children. The appartments were far beyond our expectations and was a great place for having breaksfasts for all of us. When... More

Upon arrival at Hotel Odinsve at 7.15am I didn't think I was able to check in so early, and I was right, 2pm is the check in time unless they have a clean room for you, the kind man on reception did say I could leave my bags there if I wanted to go for a stroll, great, so I... More

The apartments (which are 600m away from the hotel iteslf) are very close to a bar (Kaffibarinn)which plays very loud music until 4 or 5 am at the weekends and until 12 - 2am during week days. If, like us, you have young children or are light sleepers, this will probably completely ruin your holiday in Iceland. It certainly did... More

We booked a room for four nights through Expedia. The priced worked out to $100/night and I would not spend more than that. My friend and I stayed in a standard/double room. It was so, so, so small. Having traveled to England last year, I quickly learned that European hotel rooms are small when compared to American hotel rooms. With... More

I had a wonderful time in Reyjkavik and a lot of it was because of this hotel. Comfortable room(small but that's the norm), a great bed, windows that let in the fresh air and front desk staff that went beyond expectations to help with information! Special thanks to Emma who I had the pleasure of dealing with frequently. Everyone always... More

Most of the reviews here say it all but I will mention a few of the outstanding features I found here. The personal attention received from the desk agents was outstanding - recommendations on tours , restaurants and activities were tops. The hotel restaurant serves an outstanding dinner - breakfast is faulty but seems to be the norm in Reykjavik... More

I had a single room over the restaurant which was a bit noisy but was well appointed with a soft twin bed, big flat screen TV. The reception desk staff is VERY helpful. They will book tours, answer questions and give suggestions. The attached restaurant Snaps is excellent, everything is made from scratch, even the chocolate sauce for the flourless... More
