This is the cheapest accommodation you can find in Reykjavik and it's just across the road from the bus station where the flybus to the airport arrives/departs - these would be the only two reasons to stay at this place and hence the two stars. When you get there you have to phone the owner to let him know that... More

My husband, sister-in-law, niece and I stayed here for two nights on our way to Europe in late June as a kickoff to our vacation. My first impression was not favorable. We flew in early and got to the bus station in Reykjavik and were within walking distance to the hotel, even with tons of luggage, which was very nice.... More

Yes, it's cheap. But that really is the only good thing that can be said about this dreary, grim place. The entrance is almost impossible to find, around the back of the building in an overgrown yard. It was dark and appeared abandoned when I arrived, even though I had made a reservation in advance. I had to go elsewhere,... More

If you want to use Reykjavik excursions or take advantage of reasonably priced car hire, this is the place for Iceland on a tight budget. I'd recommend people ring the owner before arriving, as we had a note on the door to telephone, necessitationg a short wait on the doorstep. Lucky it wasn't raining. So make sure you have a... More

This place is terrible! The owner is like terrible. Very inexpensive place to stay in iceland for what you got!. Owner is VERY rude and crazy! Owner was very rude twice. Once when an employee had made a mistake the day before (he gave us a room that wasn't for us, but he discovered in the morning), and in a... More

We had already booked when I read the notes on this hostel here. It got me scared, but we decided to go for it anyway. And we really were not disappointed at all! The room, bathroom, sheets, towels, basically everything was perfectly clean, no complaints there. True, our car reservation didn't get through, but the owner arranged it for us... More

I am so angry at this choice of residence that I feel compelled to write my first ever review. This place is basic which would be fine as it is cheap but cheap should not mean that a dirty and hostile experience is acceptable. Within the first 10 mins of being in the building and our room my main thoughts... More

This is my first review on TripAdvisor, having felt compelled to comment. I've stayed at Dalfoss over ten times now in the last few years and it's not a place I've ever considered not staying at. First, it's literally across the road from the BSÍ terminal and only ten minutes walk into town. Second, Einar is a card. He's Icelandic... More

Me and a friend stayed at the Travel inn at Brautarholt. We hade a reservation for in total 5 night over a period of 10 days on Iceland. We ended up staying for just 1 night, taking the risk of having nowhere to stay. But it was so worth leaving: The place was 40-50 minutes walking distance from the city,... More
