Stayed for 4 nights, very basic, but close to the city centre, although it had a microwave and a 2 ring plug in hob there was no oven and so this restricted the food that you can prepare (we stayed in room 201), but this would not stop us from using these appartments when we visit again.

A 5 min walk from the town centre and the water front. Well heated and provided all the basics like shampoo, shower gel, loo roll, towels, tea towel, washing up liquid and cooking oil. Big TV with several UK channels. We eat a lot at cafe Laundromat - very reasonable, friendly and trendy. Did all of our tours with Grey... More

We stayed 8 nights in apartment 104 with a separate entrance on Lindargatan and really enjoyed the apartment, which was lovely and quiet, yet near everything we needed. The decor was minimalistic but stylish, and the apartment was well equipped, with a coffee percolator, microwave and toaster in addition to a cooker and kettle. There were a couple of minor... More

Stayed here (room 201) for 2 nights on arrival in Reykjavik and it was an excellent choice - comfortable, cosy, spacious room, with basic cooking facilities. The location is great - a couple of streets from Laugavegur but quiet at night and a few minutes walk from the Viking sculpture on the waterfront. There are some parking spaces behind the... More

We stayed at the Vatnsstigur location for 6 nights. Initially we were given a smaller room (203), but then extended our stay and got shifted to a better and bigger room (307), which was definitely appreciated since we were staying 3 to a room. As all the other reviews mentioned, the apartments are clean and spacious, with a basic kitchenette... More

For us Welcome Apartments was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Reykjavik and beyond. The apartment was clean, airy and spacious. Self-catering was well provided for and wifi and internet access were available on the ground floor. The information given when booking online was that there was no concierge/receptionist. We were given a code to enter the building and... More

We stayed at Welcome Apartments, Vatnsstigur, Reykjavik for the first 2 nights and last night of our trip to Iceland. The apartments are basic but very comfortable, spacious and clean. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and was a spacious area with a dining table. The apartments we stayed in had twin beds that were very comfortable.... More

We stayed at the Welcome Apartments on our last night in Iceland and were quite disappointed. We'd previously stayed in the Centrehotel Thingholt which I would highly recommend over the Welcome Apartments, for only £10 extra p/n you certainly get a much nicer hotel experience, much nicer rooms and a full breakfast. lastminute.com described the Welcome Apartments as having lots... The Welcome Apartments certainly contributed to our stay... the convenient location in the city center allowed us to walk the city easily and, as we were a block away from the ring road leading out of town, heading out of town on day trips was a breeze! The apartment was clean, well appointed, equipped with everything we needed and the... More
