We stayed two days on a stopover on our way to the UK. The owners were very warm, friendly and accomodating: They allowed us early access to our room after a red-eye flight from the US. The rooms were very clean and well appointed - though the mattresses were too soft for us and the room was very warm despite... More

What a lovely place - overlooking the harbour and with the sound of seagulls. Really close to the bus stop for Blue lagoon or Reykjavik and the owners of the Hotel were so helpful. Great breakfast including home-made cake. Everything was really clean. Would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. More

I just spent 13 days here and my stay was perfect. The couple running this hotel were always so helpful and made my stay more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The rooms were roomy and comfortable. Wonderful view from the hotel and convenient to so many places. Great place to stay. More

Excellent hotel close to the airport. They do airport transfers free of charge. Very comfortable, well designed and clean rooms. There is a lounge area where you can sit and read or enjoy the views of the harbour. If you want to read a book or watch a DVD the hotel has a huge collection for you to read /... More

I was on business for 4 days in Iceland and wanted to try and avoid the standard corporate chain hotels. And how lucky was I to find the Hotel Berg. In some ways I am tempted not to review it and keep it as my own little secret. The hotel is a house that the family owners have converted to... More

I was traveling with two friends and highly recommend as a place outside of Reykjavik. It's a clean comfortable friendly hotel with easy parking. The owners made everyone feel very welcome and the rooms were very comfortable. We stayed in a room that had a lot with a double and the living room had a nice pullout bed. It was... More

We chose this because we were landing at midnight and wanted somewhere close to the airport. We phoned from the baggage hall and were collected only five minutes later by the smiling and frendly receptionist. We were in the hotel being offered hot drinks within a few minutes, really impressed with the shuttle service (free). Next morning they rang our... More

Arrived at the airport late afternoon and called the owner who picked us up. She also helped us arrange car hire using a local firm "Artic" which has been great so far, and gave us some really useful tips on what sites to stop at on way to highlands. Not everywhere is open in Keflavik in winter and we decided... More

We stayed at this excellent hotel on the 18th February after a long drive from Skaftafell, via the Blue Lagoon (20 mins drive). The hotel was full of charm and homely touches and the smell of scented candles - I think there's a local candle making factory. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. There was tea / coffee always available... More
