The hotel is not fancy but it is more than decent. Room was not big. It was very clean. The location was good for shopping and finding restaurants nearby as well as being near the harbor and many of the sites of the town.

Hotel Kea stay was excellent. Love Akureyri as it is a quaint small town and a great base for exploring northern Iceland. We stayed for two nights at Hotel Kea as part of a Icelandair package. Our room was a little small, but otherwise quite adequate. This is our third time at this hotel. I was here with my 12 year old daughter and her friend we bought a 3 day packet with 2 three course meals and breakfast.
