Looking to save money but still stay close to the centre of town? Look no further - Omena Yrjonkatu is ideal for the budget conscious traveller. Its location is fantastic, only a 5 minute (at most) stroll into the main part of town where you have access to everything that Helsinki has to offer. To start with, the booking process... More

We stayed close to the railway station/bus termina at Omena Hotel Georgsgatan (Yrjönkatu), just beside The Little Theater (Lilla Teatern) and the weelknown Hotel Torni. Torni means Tower and you will se it from the station. If you don't want to climbe even short steap streets I'll suggest that you enter the big department store Forum and take the escalaters... More

The hotel is good, but if you need to get in touch with someone beforehand it is nearly impossible: it take ages for them to answer an email and the phone customer service has a long queue, charging €1.70/min while you wait :( More

I spent one night there with my wife and my daughter. We were looking for a low budget quiet hotel in the city centre and I think this was the best option. For the cost of the night it was perfect. The best: the location, the peace of the place and the fresh modern new rooms. The worst part was... More

We stayed at the hotel (Yrjönkatu) which was extremely cheap for Helsinki. It was also 10mins walk from the main train station - very central to everything. Our room was spacious, quite minimalistic but totally functional - double bed, table with 2 chairs, large television and a bathroom cubicle containing a toilet and shower. The whole idea of no reception... More

What a find! I'm a 65 year old senior citizen who travels solo. This hotel is on a very quiet side street adjacent to a luxury hotel. It is only 10 minutes from the train station and also the bus stop for the FinnAir bus that goes to the airport. There is lots of shopping and a grocery store on... More

was worried at first about it being a staffless hotel - you are given your room and door code 24 hours before your stay...All went smoothly however, and there is a help phone at the main entrance and you can access them through the room television as well. Wifi signal was very good - Some people will go 4 people... More

What a lovely hotel! My two daughters were impressed. This is a self service hotel. You do not see any staff. The room- measured the room to be 21 ft. 3 inches x 9 ft. 10 inches. Big or small its up to you. It was divided into two general areas by the bathroom/ "kitchen" stand. Upon entering the room,... More

After fumbling with our door code, we got in and found our room. The room was smallish but comfortable and functional with a good shower. An electric kettle with real tea available (in bags) was a bonus although the disposable plastic cups were not what we are used to. At first, we were a bit anxious about not having a... More

Stayed in this budget hotel for a few nights; location is very good - just next to the Forum shopping center and few minutes away from the bus / train station. The room was ok - bathroom was very small but ok for one person. Also water kettle, microwave oven, and small fridge are there. A big flat screen TV... More
