If you are staying here for the northern lights, i would suggest taking the ground floor units for easier access to the river for viewing and running back to the room for hot drinks.

Kultahovi is an average hotel next to river Juutuanjoki at Inari center. Maybe the best in Inari, better ones are in Ivalo. Aging is visible and soundproofing lousy.

Hotel Kultahovi is a delightful family-run hotel on the banks of the river that runs into Lake Inari. We stayed in a 'superior' room of which there are 16 in the separate river block a few metres from the old hotel building. The rooms are modern and very clean. Those on the upper floor of the river block have the...

My wife and I stayed here one night in early march 2012. Overall, we quite liked it. It's quite a plain, simple place, but nicely done and very clean. Our room had two single beds pushed together, a small desk, a comfy chair, balcony, and tea making spot. There was a small flat screen tv mounted on the wall; it...

Ok, the hotel was undergoing soem renovatins so the lounge was out of use, but stilll a very relaxing place to stay.
We opted for a room in the riverside section of the hotel 25 metres from the main hotel building.
The room is very well equiped but as a result does suffer from a lack of space, particulalry annoying...

We stayed for two nights in a traditional room. Not fancy, in fact very ordinary, but clean and comfortable.
The restaurant, for breakfasts and dinners, is of exceptionally high quality. That, as well as the ever helpful Andre, really made our stay a joy. We were there in the cold of winter, with Lake Inari and the best salmon river...

The hotel is clean and staff friendly. Well located. It has a very good breakfast and restaurant. Children would get very bored. No international TV options. Some rooms have sauna, which is not a bad option.

If you have read my other reviews, you will know that I expect high standards from hotels and Kultahovi did not disappoint. The hotel is as old and traditional as they get around here (read the history of Finland 1939-45). Check in was efficient and the welcome genuine and friendly. I had a room in the new block – because...

It's called Tradition Hotel but it's not traditional at all. Breakfast is quite poor, quality is on the average.
The restaurant offers few dishes which they are very expensive.
The wine list is very expensive not affordable at all.A bottle costs €33 for average quality.
Christmas dinner was supposed to be a "traditoin" but it didn't satisfy at all.
A...

Clean and quite hotel with a beautiful river besides. Our room had the sauna and a beautiful view to the river, with a large window. We discovered that some rooms look towards the road and not towards the river, and they are smaller too, so the advice I can give is to ask for a room with the view of...
