Even with sat nav our arrival by car was "interesting" and it took courage to drive down the pedestrian precinct. And with the hotel entryphone system broken accessing the hotel - eventually through the coffee shop - was a bit fraught. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vanilj. It was a nice little hotel, with atmosphere and charme! Excellent food in the restaurant, and close to most everything in center of Göteborg City. We will bee back!!

The Vanilj is well-located and the rooms are simply decorated (in a good way). Prices in the summer seem reasonable. Breakfast is ok but aside from the decent baked-goods, we wouldn't recommend the mediocre food for lunch/dinner.
