Some years ago we frequently stayed at Opalen. This was the first time after its refurbishment. And this time we got a room on the 10th floor, facing north. Splendid view! Lots of windows. Stayed here during a conference which was held in the hotel in August 2011. Nice and clean rooms. Good breakfast, good food, ok location, good service, nice interior. I would recommend this hotel for the right price. Average, but not bad in any way!

Hotell Opalen is à good business hotel with friendly service, and nice but not luxurious rooms. I had a very early departure, so the reception staff packed me a breakfast bag, which was much appreciated. I would happily stay here again.

I recently stayed here again for the second time, and it was just as nice as before. The location really is excellent and the airport bus drops you off about 5 minutes walk away. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.

Nice hotel, close to the city centre. The staff is knowledgeable about the city. Great breakfast.

I stayed 6 nights in Scandic Opalen in Gothenburg and really i enjoyed it very much as the Hotel was very clean and in a wonderful place . Also the food quality was great too. i wish to come back again. ;)
