Good location and pub next door but rooms very dated.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful personnel and great location in the city center. But be aware that some rooms can be disturbed by music/noise from pubs and restaurants nearby. If you want to have something quiet, ask for a room facing Norre Park.

The best feature of Hotel Martenson is its location. Positioned in one end of the main entertainment street in Halmstad the positions is hard to beat. The rooms however is not of the same standard. Good location, but don't stay here when it's warm. We found poor ventilation and no a/c. Also got a frequent whiff of sewer in the bathroom, which we found to be smallish. Try another place. We wouldn't return.

This is a nice location, however the hotel is no frills 4 stars, and I would give it a 2 star. The Staff is very friendly and helpful but the hotel itself could use a fluff.
