The City Hostel is a really good adress for travellers with a smaller budget. It's super centrally located, all the facilities are extremely clean, the staff is nice and it's very easy to get around. Free access to pc, free coffee and tea, a nice well equipped kitchen, lots of travelling tips (what to do, the cheapest beer, etc) and... More

I recently stayed at CBP for 2 days. Frankly I had an unpleasant and tiring stay but since the target customer of this place is another segment, I will make my evaluation based on that and give a 4 star to this place. It is very centrally located and provides a clean area to stay at. There are many nice... More

Hi, thank you so much for understanding that partly your bad experience was caused by you not being our target audience. Everything you wrote tells me you would have been way happier staying in a hotel than in a hostel. In Swedish hostels, allowing people to bring their own bed linen IS standard - other hostels charge 70 for bed... More

Its really clean, the staff is helpful but if you are looking for fun the hostel is really quiet! And don't have activities to mesh people. And WHY SPEND A LOT OF MONEY BUYING MAC COMPUTERS AND NOT DECENT TOILET PAPER AND GOOD SHOWERS??

The title says it all. It is true that the hostel is pricey, but then, what isn't in Stockholm? I travelled with 15 more friends and we had no problems at all. The location is perfect, the rooms are big and clean, they have lockers. There are enough showers and bathrooms, the common rooms are really nice and cozy with... More

I thought this hostel was fabulous but it was very costly. I guess that is standard in Stockholm but I though it was pretty ridiculous to pay about $50 for a shared room with others per night. More backpacker friendly prices would be appreciated.

Ah, thank you for the good review. We try hard to keep backpacker friendly prices, in spite of high salaries and taxes in Sweden, and renting property in expensive central Stockholm. Our favourite guests are the ones who travel Norway first, then Sweden - they find our prices totally reasonable! Glad you had a good time in spite of not... More

My wife and I have stayed in a stack of backpackers and hostels across europe and this one was by far the best. The rooms are very clean and well organised. The kitchen is big, perfectly clean and has every utensil imaginable and even free pasta. The lounge and computer rooms are nice and the showers and bathrooms are clean... More

Hahaha, thank you so much for that review, and those awesome photos! I will pass them on to "Wacky Michael". I agree, the sauna tour IS the best thing you can do in Stockholm, with no competition what so ever (And I'm not saying that only because I've invented the tour - it's true!) If you loved Stockholm in the... More

The hostel itself is absolutelly great: nicely located, has a nice cafeteria that serves food until late night, good breakfast included, nice bedrooms, lots of bathrooms, a spacy kitchen (with free pasta!!) and everything else. The hostel also shares the Swedish habit of not wearing your shoes inside your house, which I absolutelly support. However, we were a couple and... More
