I cannot recommend Camp Alta enough!! The location is beautiful, as the camp is situated on the north side of Lake Alttajärvi, complete with a floating sauna building on the water (though, of course, the water is frozen at this time of year). The real plus is that the staff is so friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating (I am shocked... More

Great trip out into the forests outside of Kiruna searching for the Northern Lights. Unfortunately they failed to appear but had a wonderful first rides on snowmobiles. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed slowly winding through the forest and then I took the opportunity with our guide to take our machines up to 70km per hour on the frozen Torne... More

Just to thank you one more time for cancelling our booking 20 minutes before our arriving!! That was really nice, it shows your good organization and the importance you give to your customers... Fortunately, we've found another place to sleep but when you've planned your trip since a long time to avoid this kind of trouble, it's kind of boring... More

An excellent location if you are looking to do cross-country ski, sauna, siberian husky sleigh rides, snow mobile, ice hotel, ice-hole fising and most important of all, northern lights! Miriam (lady in-charge) was very friendly and welcoming every single day of our trip. Was very understanding and helpful. It helped that the camp had different sized cabins. We stayed in... More

If you dont expect accomodation on high level, only clean standard type of place to stay, but you prefer to have incredible attraction for good value its the best place. First cheap, second well organized, owners very helpful and honest. Trips that they offers plus different activities fully met our expectations. We really enjoyed. More

Travel group - 2 girls from Sri Lanka. Length of stay - 1 night (only because they were fully booked). Cabin - We took the 3 bed cabin. Doesn't have a bathroom but the bathrooms were not that far away about 50m. We initially felt that it might be a bit inconvenient, however it wasn't the case at all. The... More

We stayed at Camp Alta for 4 days in mid-February, and had a fantastic time. We stayed the previous night in Kiruna as our flight times were a bit awkward - but this was ideal as it gave us an opportunity to stock up with food for our stay. We were picked up promptly at 9am to go to dogsledding,... More

I went here with a bunch of friends for 5 days and it was terrific. This is a camp made up of wooden cabins of all sizes, they are all very homely and include everything you need for your stay. On site there are excellent facilties, a large floating sauna building which has an indoor ice hole as well as... More
