4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2013 NEW

Stayed here in April 2013. Great Hotel with friendly staff and free wine hour every evening in the main lounge / reception area. Nice clean rooms although a little on the "cosy" side in terms of size. Really good location within walking distance of most attractions although a good tip is to look at google map and street so you... More

I love this city and was excited to stay at this hotel, but am so confused as to how it could be termed 4 star. It absolutely isn't. Small rooms, lacking basics. Very expensive for what it is. I would place it around 3 star at most.

Because this hotel is so expensive and four star, we expected our Suite to be very luxurious and in fact it was very average. The room was very hot and stuffy and the bed was on a mezzanine level - the steps up and down were slippery. The decor was odd, sparsely furnished and didn't feel luxurious at all. We... More

I have just returned from a conference in Copenhagen and stayed at the kong Arthur. This is a great hotel centrally located, although we had to use the metro to get to the Bella Centre. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Nice touches like the wine reception from 5-6 and we were offered and enjoyed a free hand massage whilst... More

My review is coloured by the fact we could not get the superior room we had booked for the first night of our 4 night stay. When we arrived mid-afternoon they said they had a mistake and did not have the room type we wanted for the first night. We were offered two choices, have a much smaller room for... More

Rooms are very small, on last floor it is not always possible to even stand next to the closet. From the other hand, the location is very good, place is very quiet and nice. There is also a problem with parking, it is rather far away from the hotel and almost all the time is full

Despite receiving a confirmation email of our booking the day before arriving, we were told they did not have a room for us. The reception staff stated they had overbooked and the hotel was full. No explanation was provided. When I asked if this had happened before, I received a curt yes. We then waited around while she phoned other... More

Despite the relatively high price and a four star rating, the small dusty standard double rooms had only the bare minimum. Read the bathroom didn't even have a toilet brush, not to mention no hankerchiefs and no regular change or additional shampoo if you only use two thirds of the bottle. Oh and dont forget your tooth brush since the... More

I usually stay once or twice a year in Copenhagen on long work related trips. I always make Kong Arthur my first choice of hotel. In my experience it is one of the best maintained establishments that one can find. Apart from the decor and the ambience, the staff are very polite, helpful and cheerful. The rooms are well kept, clean... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We love the small city oases. One of those is to be found here where both hotel and neighborhood; the beautiful lakes, Nørreport metro station (15 minutes to airport) and downtown, give you the best of Copenhagen. We believe that small things make a big difference. This is why we give you free admission to our spa, free internet, parking facilities, free coffee in the morning and much much more. Also, we love a gorgeous setting; To be welcomed by a beautiful style of decór that makes us feel comfortable; To spot a comfy sofa, inviting us to lounge in it with a great book; To have a good time in front of the fireplace alone or with friends. By and large, we like to feel at ease when going somewhere. This is why it is important to us to make you feel like home when staying with us.Our 155 rooms are all unique, just like we are at Hotel Kong Arthur. To us, uniqueness is charm. Common to all rooms, though, is that they all have a great bed so you can sleep well. To make it as easy for you as possible when travelling as a family, your children can stay for free when sleeping in your bed. What is most important to us is making you feel welcome. We have our hearts in everything we do: Both when fighting CO2 emission and when making our best effort in giving you a perfect stay.Remember to spend a few hours in our exclusive spa & wellness centre, combining Eastern tradition and rituals with latest knowledge in a fantastic setting. ... more   less
