3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2012 NEW

Spent three nights in the Phoenix. Beautiful exterior and reception area. But the rooms are looking a little tired. The room we had was a touch small, a sort of "L" shape configuration which looked over the yard where the bins are kept. Becase we were on the lower floors and this outside area quite small it made the room... More

This hotel is in a wonderful location with shops, restaurants, Nyhavn, metro on the doorstep. Service was good and the room/bathroom were very clean with everything one expects of a hotel of this standard. While everything was perfect during my stay, I do feel it is overpriced but perhaps that's just Copenhagen.

I have spent there 3 nights in April 2012. Room was nice, silent and quite comfortable (with 3 windows!) despite it was not very big. Bathroom very nice and clean. Complimentary water was nice. Breakfast rich and varied. Sounds like everything was very good, but I just had an impression that this hotel is a bit oldfashioned. Maybe design? Very... More

We stayed in the Phoenix hotel for the weekend. It was disappointing. While clean - it is outdated and jaded. We stayed in a superior room which was small and basic. The hotel needs a huge investment to upgrade and restore it to former glory. Service was ok but not to the standard we experienced everywhere else in Copenhagen. breakfast... More

Nice hotel centrally located only steps away from queens palace, water front, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are tiny, the interior a bit dated, and the service ok. Note: if you arrive with lots of luggage no one greets you at the door. It does open automatically but you have to continue up two sets of stairs.

Spent two night in a single room for business. First of all, 'single has to be taken literally: the room was that small, that I could easily touch both the opposite walls at any given point. The door had to rotate outwards. Now I have to add that according to my fellow congresmembers, this apparently was the case in most... More

I stayed at the Phoenix Hotel in Copenhagen as a business guest. We organised a number of meetings at the hotel and the overall experience was a good one. Perhaps being one of the conference organisers, gave me the benefit of a beautiful room at the price of the conference pack. I have to say that the room was of... More

A 4 night stay for a conference in the centre of Copenhagen in spring isn't too much like hard work and certainly not at this hotel where the staff and their superior service more than make up for the relatively small rooms and slightly dated interior. More than adequate breakfast offering and conference-break catering was fine too.

A taxi ride in from the airport to the center shows you that Copenhagen is preserving its past but also building some new and innovative architecture. Phoenix is an old style hotel which is also adopting the new and is excellently situated for the NewHaven restaurants/bars. 5 minutes walk only. Rooms are pretty small but comfortable and well looked after.... More

Reading about the hotell on their webpage i expected it to be a good 4star hotell, but it was old and outdated. The room i got was small and should have been refurbished years ago. The bathroom was clean but worn. The recpetion area was nice with classic decorations. The service was ok. The breakfast was also ok, but nothing... More
