Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The worst experience ever! Konstantinos at the front desk was very impolite and even made fun of the situation. As a guest I had a booking confirmation which stated I booked one king size bed and I was provided a room with two single beds ,from the hotel part I was also given a confirmation which stated that I had booked for 2 single beds . In conclusion I asked to speak to a manager regarding the issue in order to receive the room I booked and as a result I was asked to pay from Konstantinosan amount of 50€ in order to receive a room that had double bed or to move to the sister property Imperial Plus with an additional charge of 80€,and I never met the manager in person as requested. As I work in the hotel business myself I really find that outrageous asking from guests to pay extra money to get what they booked . TOTALLY not coming back to this hotel and for sure don’t recommend it

What a disappointment our stay at this hotel was. It appears that this was once an impressive hotel but has been let go and the staff appear to have the same attitude - not concerned about the property or the guests. Breakast was very basic and while it was provided we went to a local cafe for our breakfast. Promoting the use of the pool at a 'sister' property, we found out there is a charge. Overall very disappointing.

I checked in a day late because my flights were canceled. Only to walk into a room that was NOT what I booked. I went down to see the guy at the front desk and he seemed annoyed that I wasn't happy. He reluctantly gave me another room, it was so hot in the room, you couldn't breathe. So I turned on the AC and went out for an hour to eat, when I came back it felt hotter. So again I called the guy to tell him that the AC wasn't working and that's when he told me that it is winter time in Greece and that the AC was closed, it was 29 degrees that day. Just sitting in my room I was dripping in sweat. There was nothing I could do. I went online and found another hotel and checked out in the morning. I paid $400cdn to sleep in a sauna. It was the worst experience in a hotel on my life. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I do not write reviews, but this time I had to! The worse 4* hotel I have ever been to! I chose it because it is central, but the street on which it is located is very busy and the noise is infernal! On the 1st floor, where I had the room, you could hear everything from the street, even with the window closed. The noise also came from the pipes, in an extremely unpleasant way, it seemed to us that we could hear every water drawn, every flush, at a very high volume! In the morning, if I spoke Greek, I would have known exactly what was being said in the adjacent rooms... The hotel is very old and without any kind of improvements, it should be closed for total renovation. Basic breakfast. We should have stayed 3 nights, but we left after the first, which I endured very hard anyway. I do not recommend it in any way, especially since at the same price level, there are much better options!

Room Tip: if you really have to go there, ask for a upper floor room, maybe it will be less noise.

The hotel was clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The decor is very definitely "classical", the rooms are quite large and adequate. The reception staff are very helpful and special thanks to Nicos. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a very central location. In a few meters is Egnatia street which is very busy and has many choices to offer. The hotel staff is friends. Breakfast is good, but it could have more choices. The rooms although are clean, need a bit polish.

The Staff did everything they could to help us - including finding a more suitable room for three of our party. Check in was previously organized and thus speedy. The breakfast was delicious and had everything we could possibly want. The beds were comfortable and the balconies had a great view of the city of Thessaloniki below.
