Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at Rotonda for 5 nights and overall we thought it was pretty good. The positives: Spacious room with comfy beds and good air-con. Fridge a bonus too! Location handy for buses/taxis/bank machine nearby. Also a 20 minute walk to the centre. Staff all really friendly. The negatives: Breakfast wasn’t particularly good. The maids were quite noisy early on in the corridors. I understand they have a lot of work to get through but it was quite frustrating getting woken early each day. The bathroom could use a total renovation. It’s funny as the room itself was modern and nice, but the bathroom was not!

Located about 20 minutes walk from the city centre and near a shopping mall. This place was well located. However, on our first night we struggled to sleep with a large amount of school children staying there were screaming throughout the hotel until early morning hours. Despite this, reception staff were great, kind, and always willing to help. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety between hot foods and salad items.

The hotel has a nice location. However, the hotel has often high schoolers who are visiting and it gets horribly loud at night. Regardless of how many times you alert the staff, nothing gets done. These loud parties last uo u til 4-5AM. Staff is nice but often useless.

Room Tip: Check if they have high schoolers staying in. If so, I wouldn’t recommend the place.

We needed 2 hotel rooms for one night In Thessaloniki close to the airport to catch a morning plane as we were returning from Thassos on the way to the UK. Rotonda was very affordable, easy parking and had really nice, clean and comfortable rooms with everything working. Very nice breakfast and breakfast area. The staff were very nice practical and helpful. The area is quiet so we got a good nights sleep. Cannot recommend more given the market positioning and price.

A very nice stay, not too far from center(24min), with nice stuff that helped us a lot, they have free parking spots, nice and firm pillows and a good pressure at the shower. And i like’t that the air-conditioner had a separate circuit ;) The room was big enough with a small frige, and a nice view!

A couple of miles walk from the centre of Thessaloniki, but an easy walk. Can get a parking space outside, but traffic is mental and can take you ages getting in and out of the city. When walking to Thessaloniki centre you walk past what seems the immigrant centre of Greece which can be a bit intimidating but I was fine. Receptionist was amazing and upgraded my room for free. Breakfast wasreally bad, never had such bad food but what do u expect for the price I paid. I’d stay here again if I was visiting Thessaloniki but If your looking for luxury or anything 3* and up, this isn’t it 😂

What impressed me a lot was the booking process. Just a simple emal and I got the confirmation. My "special request" for a quite room was taken in consideration just after the arrival, but it worked out quickly. Staff is very professional. The location is fine, ONE Saloniki shopping mall is some 300 m from the hotel. City centre is some 1300-1500m, can be reached in some 15 walking minutes

I had a decent stay at the Rotonda Hotel. Rooms: The plumber either was out of his mind or a fan of the tale of Noah’s Ark. I have never seen a shower constructed in such a manner. It was essentially made for flooding as the curtain can barely withstand the shower water and the shower basin was barely elevated. Additionally, there was no shower nozzle placeholder. After my shower, Niagara Falls seemingly had less water. The beds were comfortable and I had a great night of sleep. Location: About a 10-15min walk to the center of town. It is in a little bit of a sketchy area so keep your wits about. Service: I had minimal interactions with the hotel staff. Dining: Breakfast was very basic but it had the necessary items and it was of good quality. I enjoyed the pastries particularly. Bottom Line: It is perfectly fine for a one night stay. Nothing more.

The main reason we booked was the parking that was offered. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist informed us that they only have like 4-5 parking lots which are always full. I complained about it and the answer was that you should 've read the "small letters" in the site. We tried to be patient so we went to our room which was simply dirty! Dirt on the floor, marks from glasses on the bedside tables, and filthy bathroom. The sheets were smelling clean but after one night my girlfriend got some itchy rash on her skin. Even though we booked for 2 nights we decided to leave after the first one. We went to the reception we informed that we are leaving and they didnt even bother to ask why. Of course we did not get any refund and they also asked the taxes(you pay 1.5€ for every night) for two days even though we only stayed there one. The photos in the site are totally misleading. The area is not so good there (drugs, immigrants, prostitutes) but this is not their fault. I have to state that because of the confusion with the parking we were offered free breakfast but unfortunately that didn't save the day.
