Loved this little place. Decor and hospitality were exceptional. Only downfalls are no lift, not accessible by car and street parking is extremely limited.

Rethymnon was the last place we visited on our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time, made all the better by this hotel. The owners made us feel very welcome and the rooms were spectacular - traditional features, romantic touches, elegant decor - this place has it all. I think we spent about 3 hours the first morning just...

We - my wife, me and our 8 year old son - stayed in August for one week in the Vetera (Dionne Suite). This hotel is very small (4 rooms) and really beautiful. An old and very well renovated venetian building in the Old Town of Rethymno. Central but nevertheless very quiet during the night. Our suite (two level) was...

Also a great value. Bathrooms are...

What a terrific find! This historic hotel on a quiet street in Rethymnon was just what we needed. After experiencing the horrific and noisy traffic (cars and motorcycles) in Iraklion, the Vetera was a welcomed respite.
Our room, the Blue room, was on the second floor overlooking the street. The furnishings were sweet, with a small table and chairs, a...

Arrived at the vetera suites hot and sweaty and the first thing the owners did was to make us both a glass of cretian lemonade with lots of ice which we sat and drank while booking in. They are lovely people who have very tastfully turned this very old building into a beautiful place to stay. They have installed very...

Hotel Vetera is in a lovingly restored Venitian building in the old town. The furnishings are tasteful and the owners are very helpful and gracious. Our room in front accommodated 3 adults with a kitchen if guests prefer to eat in. A lovely, healthy breakfact is prepared for 8 euros per person. The Anna Maria taverna was reccomended for dinner...
