My wife, baby and I stayed here for 3 nights in May. Overall we liked the place. It’s peaceful, well away from all the package tourism. The building is lovely. The owner and his cook are friendly and helpful. It’s also sociable: breakfast and dinner is eaten together round a large dining table. Pros: Big rooms Nice building Quiet, away... More

An excellent bed and breakfast as a base for touring Crete. The views from the rooms are beautiful and the rooms themselves are large and airy. The communal area is interesting with books and information about Crete and their local wine is delicious too. The only thing I would want to point out is that it really is a bed... More

We spent three nights at Kerasia, a lovely renovated historical building, comfortable rooms and a familiar atmosphere, thanks to Babis, the owner. He was very friendly and helpful and recommended tavernas to eat in the surrounding villages. Highly recommended if you like an quiet and beautiful rural surrounding, an historical building andsome contacts with the other guests - breakfast is... More

Villa Kerasia has been beautifully restored and decorated. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable, and the food excellent (we had dinner every night we were there, having decided after the first night we would not find better anywhere close). It is quite close to Heraklion, but very quiet and peaceful, with some pleasant strolls from the house.

This is a romantic place surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The restoration of the old house and the decoration is done with a lot of taste and respect. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Cretan countryside. But it is Babis who made our stay unforgettable. He is a really interesting character, not just a host.... More

We came in at sunset and found the owner relaxing over a glass of wine, happily sharing his experience with us. Great old castle, totally renovated when credits have been cheap directly after Greece enter the Euro zone. And Babis, the owner, surely made good use. He speaks a few languages and can communicate also in English and German, where... More

Villa Kerasia is in the hills south of Iraklion, above the small town of Kerasia. You look out of over olive trees and grape vines across the valley. It was a wonderful place to return to after a day spent exploring south or north. Our host Babis was attentive and ever so helpful- from carrying out baggage up and then... More

Wonderful restored house, clean simple rooms, beautiful views and an excellent host Babis who knows the area very well. Highly recommended. The location allows for day trips to most of the island (even Chania). Only downside is pillows are a little hard but this was sorted out the following night.

We've stayed in this wonderful B&B before and came back this year for a 5 day stay. To me it's a perfect place, because it's away from tourism, you find absolute tranquility, a real Cretan surrounding and a perfect host, who looks after you as if you're family. The villa is beautiful and very well taken care of, the breakfast... More
