Its not a bad location, its a pretty close walk from Syntagma Square. The problem is that it is located beside a Square where biker gangs like to hangout in until 1/2am. The hotel itself wasn't bad. It was very clean, the room was nice and the staff were very nice and helpful. The bathroom in the room was extremely... More

If you expect to be accommodated in a brand-new monumental hotel (located in an affluent residential area near the Acropolis), with huge and elegant public space, fancy decorated rooms fitted with I-C or Hyatt style beds, marble bathrooms, German type buffet breakfast... and all this for only 35-50 EUR per day, you’ll be fairly disappointed! If you really want such... More

I agree with the negative reviews and, after staying 3 nights, was surprised by the various positive reviews. We stayed 1 night (a Wednesday) as a layover on our way to Santorini. The hotel rooms are very basic and as someone pointed out, the photos make them look better than they are. It was OK for me since the room... More

The room was ok but the shower would only be sufficient for pygmies...there was no room to turn around. Many times there was no person at the front desk. Might stay there there again if the price was right

The photos make it look much better than it is. We were very disappointed with our room, it was really basic, with old furniture, the bathroom was tiny (you couldn't fit two people at the same time) and had been furnished a long time ago. We found used bottles of shower gel (although it is true that overall it was... More

We stayed here for our last night in Athens. The hotel is in close proximity to local restaurants and the streets were alive with culture and young people out for a night of fun. The hotel had all the basics we needed except there was no safe in the room and the showers are a bit strange... It's also a... More

For this hotel, I would recommend to people with no children and if you are going to have a nightlife trip. But if you have children with you I would look somewhere else. Very noisy during the night (no matter which day of the week). But very close to everything and the staff great, very friendly and helpful. We ordered... More

This is a pretty nice hotel- completely serviceable and in a hip part of town. Its not luxury but I didn't really want to spend a whole lot of time there anyway. I would not call it quiet, but again I was out late. Good value for the money, I would stay here again. I am told this neighborhood used... More

The hotel was a good value but was more shabby than I expected. I valued the location as poor, though it was fairly centrally located. The area around the hotel is fairly gritty, especially for a family with younger children, while the street noise was also bothersome. The staff were very helpful, with the clerk moving his motorcycle to help... More

Last August 2010, during my trip of Greece by car, I visited also Athens from August 10 to 12 and I booked two nights at Exarchion Hotel, by web. The hotel is situated in the district of Exarchia, a nice disctrict with many restaurants and pubs, not far from Syntagma Square, the archeological site of Akropolis and the new Akropolis... More
