I was a little concerned after booking this hotel due to some unfavourable recent reviews on Trip Adviser. I can only say the reviewers must have stayed somewhere else. The royal Olympic is a beautiful hotel with fabulous public rooms and superb roof top bar and restaurant. the staff are friendly and helpful in particular Meni on the door -... More

It's 28 degrees but the management do not feel like opening the pool and there aren't even any sun loungers!! Forecast for next days is 28 deg... let's see if management wakes up and gives their customers what they want. No eggs, yoghurt for breakfast. Room very noisy. Would not recommend. We came to this hotel hoping to spend a... More

It's hard to find a fault with the hotel. It couldn't be situated any better. Easy walking distance to The Acropolis, Plaka and Syntagma Square. The staff were more than helpful. The wireless internet was free and easy to access. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the bar, altough a little pricey, had great views of the Temple of... More

This hotel is perfectly located in the Plaka area, with views across to the Temple of Zeus from its top floor dining room. The room was very good, and there's a lot of room in the foyer and upstairs lounge area to just veg out. Pool area is beautiful, with outside bar. The dining room where breakfast is served is... The place gives pretty good value for money: the location is fantastic - just 5 min walk from Akropoli station, breakfast is generous, tasty and serves in a room with great view of the Zeus temple, there is free computer room and most importent - service was fantastic, everything we wanted was answered quickly and efficiently, including our ask for... Everything about this hotel is first class, the position is within easy walking distance to all of the major sites. The views from the rooms are spectacular. The decor is most elegant in the public and residential area. The staff are most helpful and pleasantly professional. The rooftop restaurant with spectacular views of the Acropolis makes breakfast a special occasion... More

We stayed at the Royal Olympic twice during our recent trip to Greece. We checked in late at night and the first thing that we did was go up to the rooftop restaurant and terrace - our first real view of Athens was the Acropolis at night. Fantastic! Their breakfast buffet is very good - I enjoyed indulging in Greek... More

We chose this hotel from the internet. We were lucky! It is a reasonably good place. It is very central and all the historic sights are a few minutes away. Decor of the hotel is good and the staff are polite. To get any view from the room you need to book an executive or a deluxe room. We were... More

I read that the hotel was not quite up to scratch. Well, I don't agree. The location is great, 10 minute walk from the Akropolis, great views from the roof top restaurant. Our room was spacious, well decorated with a good size bathroom. Nothing to complain about. Would definately go back.
