We've just returned from Lisboa, indulging in many things about Portugal which has become a country we love. The Hotel Amazonia is a curious place, faded, yet charming. You'll hardly find a better breakfast anywhere in Portugal unless you pay heaps more for it, with a superb buffet of some of the world's finest orange and pineapple, and plenty to... More

Cannot really find anything good to say about this hotel... Location was ok, not excellent... Price was really not cheap compared to quality... First of all, it took almost half an hour to check in, only one person at checkin and many people waiting. Internet is not free, it is expensive. Room was not cleaned properly, a lot of junk... More

Not very high quality rooms, very expensive internet, breakfast not included, but nice enough venue. If your just looking for a cheap, and ok place to stay this not bad. But dont go if youre usually choosy.

We booked this hotel and the strength of the price! We don't spend much time in the hotel when on holiday, all we really need is somewhere to sleep and wash but we'd prefer a private bathroom if possible, so I always scour the internet looking for the cheapest hotels rather than hostels. The hotel is situated in a quiet... More

Very depressing rooms with very noisy aircon .. that you cannot leave on when you leave the room. Very bad standard on toilets ... Had to do plummer work to flush...and mold in the bath. Breakfast ... Well the bread was good. All in all a very overselling hotel not even in a very atractive area!

We have stayed for 3 nights in a very large triple room (quadruple in fact) and paid about 72 euros/room inc.breakfast through internet. They have changed the first room smelling food from kitchen. Plus(+) Area nearby av. de liberdade and marques de Pombal. Reasonable price and breakfast. Large triple room. Minus(-) Closet cover not matching to the closet. Door opening... More

Nice hotel for the money re location and fair sizes rooms, all a bit tired but did what it said on the tin kinda thing. Good breakfast not too nice that there were the pastries which was good! End room in a corridor is a must if you are light sleeper as the middle rooms used to interconnect so wooden... More

Me and my friends stayed for 6 nights in February, when is a low season. Hotel is very clean. Has large breakfast room with good choice of food (hot and cold and fresh fruit). I stayed in a single room, and my TV wasn't working so they moved me to a room next door, next morning. My friends stayed in... More

Was a little concerned before setting off about the Amazonia but convinced myself that we were in a city and it was only a room. To be honest if you go with that attitude then it is great - a great price in a good location. The rooms are basic and a bit tatty and the decorations make it look... More

This hotel is a little gem. For the price we paid we had a clean, spacious room with great views over the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar was well stocked (although don't order a JD and coke as these came to 6 EUR each!). The breakfast was varied and included in the price. Although the...
