We booked a deal and, for the price, were happy with our room. We did have a small issue with getting some fresh towels to our room - took 2 phone calls and a visit to reception after an hour wait, but otherwise the room was comfortable with satellite tv and a moderately (not expensive) minibar. The Tsar is within... More

We travelled to Lisbon in March 2012 and stayed in this hotel. After experiencing some other hotels booked via Groupon in the UK, we did wonder what our first European one would be like! We were pleasantly surprised however. The hotel itself is located on a busy established commerical street, as it has been renovated from existing office space. Its... More

Just arrived back from a 4 night stay at the Tsar Lisbon. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but compared to others of that rating it is sorely lacking. The room was clean and comfortable, we were on the 7th floor overlooking a courtyard at the back of the hotel. It was a little noisy (constant humming)... More

Whilst the hotel is modern, comfortable and clean, its out of town location and small rooms don't quite make it worth the distance. Without exception the staff are polite, but disinterested in doing anything other than the minimal. On arrival, we found our pillows did not have pillowcases and on the third day received one bath towel instead of two.... More

I just came came back yesterday from a stay at this hotel. the least I can say is that I was not impressed. It fulfilled the basic option of sleep and food (breakfast) but I can't say it did much more. We were initially quite pleased as the receptionist (Andre) was very friendly and helpful. As we got there early... More

+ Hotel is new and clean with welcoming staff + Room was nice and quite (seventh floor at the back) with a large bed, a large bathroom and a good selection of TV channels + Breakfast was of a good standard (fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, ham, cheese, scrambled egg, bacon, various bread, coffee, tea (mint and normal) and cake. +... Stayed for two nights with groupon voucher so considered good value but wouldn't if paid full room rate. very basic for 4* and not best location but staff friendly and helpful. breakfast was ok, coffee was bad! limited facilities in compact but modern room. no tea or coffee facilities in room and room keys not working for entire stay.

Well not really impressed with this hotel. The situation is not in the centre of town and you have to walk about 20 minutes to the centre - experiencing tramps etc en route! The rooms do not have any shelving and the bathroom does not have any rails to hang the towels on. We overheard an elderly couple saying how... More

Our cabdriver from the airport charged far too much, so if possible use public transport to the hotel. Anjos is your metrostop then. Our room with 2 beds was spacious. Everything was very clean. Beds were good. Breakfast (English and Continental) was good with also fresh fruits and yoghurts. Reception was very friendly and gave us good advise. A simple... More

This was my first visit to Lisbon, a deal with Groupon as a birthday present for my sister. Firstly, don't believe what anyone says about the taxis, the drivers we had were extremely helpful with no "ripping off". The hotel is excellent, the staff were brilliant and exceptionally accommodating-we did not experience any problem re iron/ironing board-we had both items... More
