We took a 12 day whirl-wind tour of Portugal and Spain, never staying in the same city more than two nights, and never staying in the same hostel twice because we wanted to experience everything we could in the small timeframe that we had allowed for ourselves. I began the trip wanting to stay in hotels instead of hostels, but... More

Let me start by saying that on a month tour of Europe this was my first stop of the trip. When I first arrived I was very surprised because I assumed hostels would be very dirty and a free for all party. Instead I was surprised to find this clean and greatly decorated location. I’ll start with the negative: the... More

The rooms are sooo cute - each one of them have a different theme and they are very modern in decoration. I got a single (very affordable compared to rest of Europe,) and the bed is ridiculously comfortable. I definitely enjoyed the privacy after bunking in hostels around Europe for a while. This place is a dream for solo travelers.... More

I've been on a round-the-world trip to over 20 countries and this has been the best of them all. The decor and facilities are great, the chef-prepared meals are fantastic and give you a great chance to easily meet plenty of other travellers and the location is close to the Bairro Alto region that is full of bars and places... This is a great place in a great location. Get the dinner that they offer, the food is wonderful and it's a good way to meet other travelers. More

My stay at the Living Lounge was by far the best hostel experience I ever had. I was having so much fun that I extended my stay by 2 days. The rooms, bathrooms and all other spaces were absolutely spotless. The staff were like friends, I actually have added them on FB. I could just go on and on.. I... More

This hostel along with many in Lisbon is decorated very modern and creative. Every thing was great at this hostel the rooms were great, service, food the chef cooks ( worth the money) but I felt that although there is common areas no one sits to meet and chat to eachother, other than At breakfast (btw u have to get... The Living Lounge Hostel is a art-themed hostel close to one of the Baixa-Chiado metro entrances, right in the heart of the trendiest part of town. A lovely chocolate shop sits next door, a cafe at one end of the block and an H&M at the other and must do sights on the doorstep. We found that compared to other... More

Visited Lisbon Living Lounge in summer 2011 for a week. Stayed in a 8-people room that had Air Conditioning. I think this is a must and I would definitely suggest you to request being in a room with AC if the weather is to be hot and dry. The 9$ supper is amazing. I wished I would have tried it... More
