One could not find a more gracious hostess than Isabell. She provided every courtesy that could be expected during our recent 3 night stay. This included: -local eateries -points of interest -research for & transportation to a local covid testing clinic for our return flight -our open invitation, should she visit the St. Augustine, FL area ( not so far fetched as she has family in the states ) to allow us to be her tour guides. 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Could not speak more highly of generous and kind hospitality of Isobel. The accomodation is very comfortable and quiet. Great location for the beach and fab local restaurants and a short drive to the buzz of Sintra-Central. We loved staying there, meeting other guests and enjoying a relaxing stay.

We spent couple nights in Isabel house. It’s wonderful place, family atmosphere, we felt like in our own house. Rooms and bathroom were clean, absolutely nothing to complain. Bed was very comfortable. At property there is private parking. Provided breakfast was homemade and tasty. Isabel was very kindly and helpful for us. Around house you can meet as well two lovely dogs. Very close from property is big beach, around 10 minutes walk. Location is also very good, good connection to Sintra and local attractions.

We highly recommend this place to stay in Colares. Isabel, the owner, treats her guests with kindness and is very welcoming. The breakfasts were really tasty, with homemade cakes and delicious jams made by Isabel’s mom (our all-around favorite—from Pumpkins and Oranges). The atmosphere is very cozy, relaxing; clean, comfy rooms; safe; easy walk to Praia Grande where there’s plenty of great surfing and places to eat. A short taxi ride will get you to Sintra’s historical center, where you get to see the palaces and other sites.

The home of Isabel is one where you can come and go as you please and feel like family always. They are very accommodating in all ways and offer the best environment with extensive knowledge of the area around Sintra. I have been back many times and the help, support and friendly advise is always enjoyable. Will be back for sure!!

I have been staying at this unique and sincere piece of Portugal since I am 14 years old. Bodyboarding tooked me there for the first time and for 15 years I used to return every year to compete at Praia Grande´s waves and enjoy the home and the family that make every trip an unforgetable one. My bodyboarding carrear stoped years ago, but as people says : ¨ heart follows its way home¨, and I came back, now as a mother and as a doctorate student and lived in one of the beautiful apartments for almost four months. The gardens, the views, the lavender smell in the mornings and the feeling of being inside a novel are inpregnated in myself. I know this review might sound too personal, but I have to be sincere about the uniqueness that I have found here. Maybe, in your own way, you will find yours...

If you really want to experience an away from home feeling in a typical Portuguese family home then this is the place to be. Isabel Pereira the owner is the kindest down to earth B&B hostess ! Bolt and Penny Isabel's two border collies the cutest dogs ever are always around to guard the house . The beautiful family summer house is so cosy and quaint , and breaths out the old Portuguese way of living. Colores still has it's old charm , unspoilt and no mass tourism . Close to several amazing beaches where crowds are not found . In this place time has not caught up with modern age thank goodness , some places should just be left untouched . A very tasty breakfast , fresh homemade baked cake by her mum awaits you each morning along with a smile. From the garden you can see the palacio de Pena. Lisbon , Sintra and all the best places within short driving distance . Now if this hasn't convinced you to book with Isabel then you don't know what you're missing 😊

I stayed here for a week during my travels around Europe, and it was the best place I stayed. The house feels just like your family home and you feel as though you are one of the family. Ba, the grandmother, makes delicious breakfasts with homemade cakes, marmalade, bread, cheese, ham, and, of course, coffee and tea. The cakes are to die for! The rooms are cozy and well-appointed with en-suite bathrooms and beautiful views of the countryside. The house and huge garden are beautiful; it is a traditional Portuguese home and a living room just for the guests. Isabel, the host, is one of the kindest, calmest individuals you could meet, and she strives to provide you anything and everything you need to have a memorable, happy experience. You are in a residential area, but just a five minute walk away from the gorgeous Praia Grande and a short drive from numerous stunning, non-touristy beaches. Isabel set-up a night hike on the full moon for me with Casais Routes. The guide, Joao, was awesome and knew so much about the area. He even offered to take just me if no one else was interested! And, you MUST go to Sintra and explore the plethora of castles, palaces, gardens, convents, etc. Sintra is by far the most mystical, magical place I have ever been. Every place you visit is like a scene out of a movie. I cannot imagine a better place to stay and explore one of the most beautiful places in the world. BOOK IT NOW!
