+ very impressive art-deco building at the beach and less attractive older property across the road. + outstanding ocean view, so an appropriate room must be booked. Otherwise it just makes no sense, because the rooms are average, if not below that, so the view is what really worth paying for. + location in the heart of Cascais, steps from... More

One of the things we like most about Portugal is the Portuguese. Meet the staff at this hotel and you will quickly see what we mean. They are all friendly, helpful and eager to please. The hotel itself is as welcoming as the staff and the discussion in previous reviews about whether it is truly a five-star or a four-star... More

This hotel was incredible. We arrived on a Saturday so the upper floor rooms were not available. We shown rooms and we finally selected an amazing ocean front room although it was on the ground floor. The room was very modern, but wonderfully comfortable and large. We coul hear the sea even with the windows closed. The staff was excellent... More

Ok so this isn't a 5 star hotel in the same way The Ritz or Mandarin Orientals of this world may be; but that's kind of why I've still marked it 5 star. The anonymity, the absence of the requirement to spend hours getting ready just to leave your room, the home from home vibe. This place is laid back... More

We spent 5 nights here April 16 - 21. We thought the hotel attractive, comfortable and with wonderful views. Every one of the staff was friendly and helpful. Perhaps another grading would give 4 stars rather than 5 as hotel does not offer hairdressing, gym etc. The breakfast bar was a treat for the eyes (and taste buds!) and the... More

Spent 6 nights here with my wife and 13 year old daughter. Chose it based on reviews and location. Did not disappoint. It is a small collection of eclectic buildings located right on the beach, boardwalk and precisely at the entrance to the old part of town. Great location. We had a suite in the villa across the street and... More

From the moment we closed the door to our oceanfront suite we knew that we had chosen the right place to celebrate our romantic anniversary. The soft colors of the suite were soothing against the bright blue of the Atlantic Ocean. The bed was super comfortable and the food was very fresh and tasty. They had the best, sweetest fresh... I have a problem but I'm not sure I can explain....The Staff were fantastic... when I complained about the bed that I had having a Grand Canyon type dent in it...they replaced it that day, when I complained about the loo getting blocked, they fixed it, and when I asked for the balconey door in my room to be fixed... We stay at the Hotel Albatroz for 1 night. We were meant to stay at the Villa Albatroz, but we were transferred due to refurbishment. The Hotel is very well located in Cascais. We had a room with an excellent view overlooking the beach and the sea. The complementary port is a nice touch. The porter was very friendly and... More

The room was not worthy of a 5-star hotel. The lighting is awful, the windows do not close properly, the bathroom very small, poorly decorated and prepared. There are probably best rooms in the hotel, but regardless, the room in which i stayed did not deserve to be part of 3-star hotel!
