Small and chick hotel very close to everything. Staff were very helpful, gave us a quick tour of the hotel and facilities, unfortunately we had no time to use the pool or sauna. The rooms are super clean and beautiful and the breakfast is just the best. I know everyone is praising the food, yes, it is that good! Get... More

As we were traveling in early January and were not actually sure when we would arrive in Bruges we had not made any reservations. We had originally planned to see if we could stay at Martin's Orangerie where we had stayed about 18 months prior. They were closing for renovations the following day. We opted not to stay since the... More

We stayed for one night at this lovely boutique hotel and we definitely plan to come back! A beautiful and unique hotel, greatly placed just in the historical centre, yet extremely peaceful. One small tip: do try their breakfast, it's worth every penny!

Charming and fantastic bed in breakfast in the heart of historic Brugge. I recently stayed her and had the most fantastic experience. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They speak English, French, Dutch and German that I heard. There's a great hotel entrance with comfortable velvet chairs for lounging in. Upstairs is a romantic drawing room with soaring... More

In 2001. we received as a wedding gift a voucher for a stay in this hotel, including dinner and breakfast. There was no expiration date written on the voucher so I assumed that the voucher would be valid for a long period of time. A few years ago, I called the hotel to ask how long the voucher was actually... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in Die Swaene. From the cold outside you step into a warm, welcoming, beautifully furnished reception lounge which sets the tone for the stay. Our bedroom was large and had several antique features, such as the old fireplace and a four poster bed which was quite a 'piece'! It was a very attractively... More

We have just come back from a weekend in Bruges staying at die Swaene hotel. The hotel, originally three houses parts dating back to the 13th Century, was lovely. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and shown the layout of the hotel and where to go in Bruges. We ate in their restaurant on the first night and... More

In late June we stayed four nights at Die Swaene, an old boutique hotel which fronts on a canal and is just steps from multiple large squares, shops and restaurants in the center of Bruges. Hotel staff is friendly, hospitable and eager to please, including offering to prepare breakfast items you especially like (even if they're not part of the... More

Great little oasis in a busy tourist town. Treated like royalty. Loved the staff. We were greeted warmly and provided a tour of the hotel. Such a nice welcome. The room was a little tired but everything you would need was provided. Room was larger than the typical European room. Would have liked a coffee pot in the room. We... More

We stayed in the Die Swaene hotel for 2 nights in September and were very impressed. Our room (72) was in the annexe across the canal from the main hotel building. It was not very large, but was luxuriously furnished, and had a fantastic bathroom, although care was needed in the shower not to spray water over the floor. It... More
