It has clearly been a while since this hotel has been renovated. Lots of doors don't work and getting in the lift was a worrying experience. The furniture and layout is a complete mismatch. The whole place could do with a deep clean too. We had the only room with a balcony (Room 5). It was warm but the wifi... More

This hotel is located on a very quiet street bordering a very pretty canal. It is a short walk to all attractions. We had the only room with a balcony and the view was charming. That sums up the good points. The room was small and dreary. Heat did not seem to be controllable except by opening windows. The bathroom... More

Hotel is very well situated for easy access to Bruges center, just a short walk and you are in the market place or Burg square. The room we stayed in was warm, with on suite, but no coffee or tea, and the room needed redecoration , but if you can get over that , it is ideal for a short... More

It is a very old house very well kept. We only stayed for a night, but we were very happy with the room and location. Breakfast was excellent. I would return next time.

The location is great but the rooms are horrible. Lots, lots of dust everywhere! And the walls are very old with mould on it. The bathroom was very nasty, also with mould on de walls and floor en in de sink and shower there were still tuft of hairs... not really fancy indeed!

Given that Bruges is lovely but so reserved that Flemish discretion could almost be taken for rudeness, it is refreshing to come across a gem like the Ensor. The hotel is simple, unpretentious, with occasional signs of DIY reparations - which adds to its charm. Long, creaky wooden corridors, winding stairways that make you feel very 16th century, and a... We spent two nights here in October. We took a bus from the train station, but walked back in about 15 minutes when we left. We also walked to all the sights in town. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the canal. The area was quiet, but very near a row of cafes and also the Saturday Market. Breakfast... More

Ensor was great. 15 min walk from the main train station and 10 min from the town hall. Had a room with a bathroom which was bright and clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was right next to a canal and close to many restaurants. Breakfast was included cereals, breads, pasteries, fruits, meats and cheeses. It was very quaint... More

small, friendly b&b with all you would expect from that, overlooking a canal just north of t'zand. comfy room, which had a small balcony you could perch on, right by the canal - tho on closer inspection ours seemed to be the only room with a balcony. good buffet breakfast and the owner was helpful with any questions we had... We arrived at the hotel late because we were driving from Barcelona. Although we called and appologised for our late arrival (about 1 in the night), once we arrived the man at the reception desk informed us in a very rude manner that check in is until 11 30 PM and that on the day of our departure we must...
