Stayed at Portinari Hotel for 1 night over the long weekend in April. Hotel was very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Location is great and a 5 minute walk to the main Bruges attractions which was very convenent for us having only a day and a half in Bruges. The hotel is located above a street lined with... More

On arrival in Bruges it was cold and rainy, so when we arrived at the hotel all we wanted was to get to our room and dry off. Rooms are not usually available until after 2pm but our was room was ready and we were able to go to our rooms straight away. We were a party of four, one... More

just had a lovely nights stay at this hotel. We had a junior suite, room 62 to be precise, it was everything it was supposed to be, clean, well furnished, large with a double leather sofa in the lounge area a coffee table and a tv that swivelled so you could watch from the bed or from the sofa. Bathroom... More

I will not write a bad review about this hotel but I want to make visitors aware of our recent visit here. My wife had her handbag stolen from the dining room here. The person responsible was allowed to sit "unchallenged" in the dining room until he got what he was looking for. We are by no means blameless in... More

It was a pleasure for us to receive you in our hotel last weekend, and we are verry sorry about what happened to you. We do have camera surveillance, and the footage has been forwarded to the police. The bar and breakfast room are open to the public, so also people from outside the hotel can come in for a... More

I spent 3 nights at the Portinari during a congress in Bruges. We selected this hotel amongst the hotels proposed by the congress organization for the location: walking distance from the congress center, and from the restaurants. The hotel is affectively nicely located, with a very convenient (and cheap) public car park. The hotel claims 4 stars, but the room... More

Overall good hotel. Slight smell as you walk into the lobby. Luckily we were on the 5th floor so the smell disappeared. Great location overlooking T'Zand square. Excellent new years eve celebrations in the square. Staff were very helpful during our stay, breakfast was good with plenty of selection including hot options. Decor throughout the hotel was very modern and... More

Shortish walk from the station near to centre of town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms unassuming but very clean. Reasonable price

This hotel is in a great spot in bruges just 5 minutes walk from the town centre. There are many bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is not 4star. Breakfast is ok but our room was really dated and shabby and the staff could have been friendlier.

We stayed here in September for one night and really regret it. I read other tripadvisor reviews about the smell and hoped (mistakenly) that the problem would have been fixed, however our room and all of the hallways were filled with an unpleasant smell. Aside from this, the rooms were VERY basic, haven't been refurbished or even cosmetically maintained in... More

As soon as we arrived in the lobby we were greeted by the smell of an open sewer. The lady who checked us in was very business like. Not a single smile on her face. All the way to our room we were surrounded by a combined smell of air refresher and sewer. Our junior suite was not very clean... More

We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel. The value for money that we offer, and which is appreciated by many does not seem to meet with your standards. Our check-out time is 11.00 a.m. If you consider that too early, you can always ask at the front desk if you can stay in... More
